Experienced BAS Technician

3+ Years of Experience
Beaumont, TX

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Building Automation / BAS Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven field experience and strong troubleshooting skills to maintain, commission, and optimize HVAC control systems.

Key Qualifications & Attributes:

  • 3+ years’ experience working with building automation systems (BAS), DDC controls, or related control systems

  • Working knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, or other communication protocols

  • Experience commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting HVAC controls

  • Familiarity with IT/OT integration — networking, routers, switches, sub-nets, etc.

  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and control sequences

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently in the field as well as collaborate with a team

  • Excellent communication skills with both clients and internal staff

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites

Entry-Level BAS Technician

We’re also looking for a motivated individual to grow into the BAS role. You’ll be mentored by senior staff and involved in hands-on work while learning the systems and processes.

Key Qualifications & Attributes:

  • High school diploma, technical school, or associate degree — ideally in electronics, HVAC, instrumentation, or controls

  • Basic understanding of electricity, circuits, HVAC systems, or mechanical systems

  • Eagerness to learn and grow in building automation and controls

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and willingness to work on ladders, in tight spaces, etc.

  • Good communication skills, willingness to ask questions, strong work ethic

  • Ability to follow instructions, read basic schematics, and learn from senior technicians

  • Reliable, safety-conscious, punctual, and honest

  • Willingness to travel to job sites and work flexible hours
